Makeup Artist Wei Lang Shares Mineral Air with Her Friends

To know Mineral Air is to love us; one mist and you’re hooked. Our loyal brand fan Wei Lang, a New York-based makeup artist and licensed aesthetician, told us the most wonderful story that illustrates this. Photography by Matthew Hillman for Hinson Wu. Makeup by Wei Lang.

Designer Hinson Wu is known for his high end luxury tailored shirts. These are crisp and cool basics that are anything but basic. He and makeup artist Wei Lang go way back so of course he booked her to do the makeup on the shoot for the look book of his latest collection.

Brimming with excitement, Wei sent us the following message:

“Last week on set of my friend Hinson Wu’s look book shoot our two models were so impressed with Mineral Air not just for the speedy application but for its sheer and natural finished look. One model told me she’d never had adequate coverage from anyone or any brand until I did her makeup with Mineral Air’s Four-in-One Mineral Foundation as applied with the AirMist Device. She ordered the Complexion Starter Kit right there and then on her phone before I even finished the rest of her makeup! You can just imagine how happy she was. I love these reactions and wanted to share it with you. XOXO!”

Working professional

Wei reports that on a job–whether it be a photo shoot or live event–she particularly appreciates how fast, precise and easy Mineral Air is and how compact and convenient the system is to carry around. On any given project, in addition to a fully charged AirMist Device, she usually brings four Reservoir Heads (two for foundation colors, one for the versatile and lovely-on-everyone Rose Petal Blush, and one for the Setting Mattifier.)

Another big plus for Wei is that once applied, Four-in-One Mineral Foundation stays put, never smears and doesn’t budge for hours. “Even after multiple times of popping the collars, all the white shirts on the Hinson Wu shoot emerged as clean and pristine as when we started.

“Whenever I use Mineral Air on a model,” Wei concludes, “I usually end up giving her (or him) a how-to tutorial on it as I’m working. Everybody loves it and once they experience it, they can’t resist spreading the word.”

What’s the difference?

Mineral Air offers two device-plus-formula categories, one for makeup, the other for skincare. Mineral Air original (MA) includes its AirMist Device, an easy to use, everyday consumer tool that rivals professional airbrushing in its cosmetic application of our eponymous foundation, blush, or bronzer. Mineral Air Skin (MAS) features the Renewal Serum System with its ElixerMist Device for lightweight vaporized delivery.
