Mineral Air Experts’ Beauty & Wellness Trend Forecast for 2022

Mineral Air Experts’ Beauty & Wellness Trend Forecast for 2022

As Part 1 of our annual year end roundup, we’re asking some of our favorite experts what they see on the horizon in beauty and wellness for next year.

High glamour makeup

Simple, clean and polished worked during lockdown but now as people are living life outside the home more, I predict we’re going to crave more theatrical, high glamour makeup. Even if you’re devoted to natural-looking beauty, you can still step it up with an emphasis on one or 2 features. Example? Clean blemish-free natural skin with lash extensions. Best way to get the look of that skin? Mineral Air Four-in-One Foundation.

Anti-aging for all ages

Anti-aging is now for all ages – everyone wants to look good on social media. Watch for dermaplaning, nano-needling, maskne treatments, blue light skincare and LED protocols. I also believe lash perms instead will replace lash extensions in popularity. Gummies are already very prevalent for skin health and wellness but we’re sure to see more; CBD, Retinol, hyaluronic acid, vitamins B3 and C, and collagen.

Focus on body treatments

People are sick of looking Covid casual. Just in the last month, we’ve noticed that more and more people are showing up to our office in regular cute clothes and in not sweats anymore. Early 2000's low waisted jeans are coming back and we want to be ready. So we believe that next year will be heavily focused on body treatments like Emsculpt, Emtone, CoolSculpt and Qwo. Topical tightening products are also going to be on in full force; DefenAge has already released a new body cream, 10 Luxe Hand & Body Cream, that is getting rave reviews.

Incorporating DIY facial massage

Facial massage! It's so important for so many reasons; fine-lines/wrinkles, stimulating the facial muscles, circulation, lymphatic drainage etc. Understanding, practicing and incorporating it into your daily beauty routine will deliver endless benefits with lasting results.

Non-surgical skin tightening for face and body

Non-surgical skin tightening face and body treatments are the way of the future. I’m very excited to see, use and experience the amazing new technologies becoming available such as Morpheus8 Skin Rejuvenation (radio frequency with microneedling), Sofwave (ultrasound) and Qwo (anti-cellulite injections.)

Personalized diagnostics, routines and products with AI

“There is no doubt that we are all accelerating towards personalized diagnostics, routines and products with medical precision using AI. Apps from the comfort of your own home for customization, and already available/soon to be everywhere- 3d printers that will provide you color cosmetics or ingestible supplement at the press of a button.”

Increased hair loss treatments for women

“We’re seeing more and more hair loss in women–from stress, from aging, from the aftermath of Covid-19–and I predict this will continue well into 2022 and beyond. There’s an increasing number of products and procedures out there addressing this; some do nothing, some do a lot. Regardless, we’re witnessing more treatment, product and ingredient sophistication so that in our lifetimes, hair loss for women (and hopefully in men too) will be solvable.”
