Isabel Madison, beauty business entrepreneur and founder of the luxurious Nude Envie color cosmetics collection is a real fan of Mineral Air Skin.
Cosmetics formulating maestro Isabel Madison founded Nude Envie seven years ago on the simple premise that nudes weren’t being served with the attention and respect they deserve.
“I focused my line exclusively on a nude palette for the simple reason that I saw a need,” Isabel remembers. “Out shopping with my sister one day, I saw that she was overwhelmed by the wide variety of vibrant lipstick colors in the store’s cosmetics department, none of which flattered her in the least. Why did they need to be so overly wild and bold? Why did they have to be so difficult to apply and so messy and smeary? Why should the eye have to focus the loud-hued lipstick and not on the woman who was wearing it? I realized that it didn’t have to! And with this revelation, Nude Envie was born.
“The nudes out there on offer back then were awful,” she continues. “They were chalky, greyish, brownish and not feminine in the least. Nobody wants to wear cement on her lips.”
Just as one’s looks are very much about the individual, so too should one’s nude products be individual too; one hue most definitely does not fit all. It takes a palette. Today, Isabel’s Nude Envie collection shades include nine lipsticks, two highlighters, seven blushes, nine eye shadows, nine nail lacquers and a pair of lip pencils. Plus, limited editions and new intros appear seasonally.
Philosophies in sync
